How is a domain price calculated?

The prices on this page are product prices in USD. A registration figure is the 1-year price when that period is published for the extension. Renewal and transfer can differ, and they are shown only when that 1-year price is published separately. Any tax is shown on the invoice at checkout. Domain terms

What is a premium domain?

Some names cost more than the standard price for that extension. The extension table is the standard price, not a premium name price. If a name is premium, the price and conditions are confirmed at checkout.

Are domain fees refundable?

Domain fees are generally non-refundable once registration, renewal or transfer completes. See the Refund Policy and the domain terms.

Transfers & renewals

Can I transfer a domain to WebFundament?

You can ask us to transfer a domain you already own. Eligibility depends on the extension and the registry. Many extensions use an authorization code from the current registrar, and a registrar lock has to be off. Not every extension uses the same process. Ask about a transfer

What happens if my domain expires?

After the expiry date, grace and redemption follow the registry rules for that extension and can include extra fees. Review the renewal date in the Client Area. Domain terms

Does a transfer include an extra year?

Not for every extension. Whether a transfer adds time, and what it costs, is shown for that extension at checkout.

DNS & privacy

How long do DNS changes take?

After you save a record, resolvers can keep the previous answer until its TTL expires. Updates are not instant everywhere, and this is not an uptime guarantee. You can check what is published with DNS Lookup or the DNS Propagation Checker.

Is WHOIS privacy included with every domain?

No. Privacy or proxy availability depends on the extension and the registry. Where it is not available, registrant data may be published as required. Domain terms

Can I lock my domain?

Where the extension supports it, a registrar lock in the Client Area helps prevent an unauthorized transfer. You turn the lock off when you want to transfer the domain.

What can I manage after registration?

From the Client Area you can manage the DNS records the extension supports, nameservers, contacts and renewal. Registration does not include mailboxes. You can point MX records at an email service you use, and you can add records for names such as blog.example.com. DNS tools · Support
