Public resolvers can return different answers because of cache, a CDN or GeoDNS name, or different resolver policies. A difference does not by itself mean one answer is old. This check only compares the resolvers configured here.
Frequently asked questions
Why can answers differ?
Resolvers cache records for the TTL they received. Some names are designed to return different addresses, and resolvers can apply different policies. This check does not decide which answer is newer.
What does TTL mean?
TTL is the cache lifetime reported with a record in that resolver’s response. It is not a countdown until every resolver updates.
Does agreement mean worldwide propagation?
No. Agreement only means the resolvers checked here returned the same set. It does not measure every network or location.
