Formatting, encoding and generation stay in the browser unless you explicitly use Share.

What stays in the browser

JSON Formatter, URL Encoder and Base64 transform text locally. Password Generator and UUID Generator use the browser’s random source. Share, when you choose it, stores a copy for 24 hours. User Agent reads the current request or a string you paste.

What is Base64 used for?

Base64 turns bytes into ASCII text so they can travel in text-only channels such as a data URL or a header. It is encoding, not encryption. Anyone can decode it.

What is a UUID?

A UUID is a 128-bit identifier. This generator builds version 4 values locally. It does not register them anywhere.

How are passwords generated?

The generator uses the browser random source and the character sets you leave enabled. The password is not added to the page address. It is not a security rating.

What does a user agent string show?

It is the text a client sends to identify the browser and system. Detect reads the current request. Parse reads only the string you paste.
